As a unit it is of questionable value at Aspern-Essling, or rather the Hussars are, 4 skirmishers are still pretty useful.

The rules are our own, the 200-ers and are designed specifically for us to fight our large multi-player battles, but work well enough at division-plus.

Figure scale is 1:50 usually, and will be for Aspern and Wagram.

JJohn Chisholmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00408629017230619652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4257353453948537248.post-78362352065956580142008-07-12T21:15:00.000-07:002008-07-12T21:15:00.000-07:00WOW, you are definately going to the greatest deta...WOW, you are definately going to the greatest detail.

Including the Carneville force?

What is/are the rules you are using for your games?

What is the fig-man ratio?MurdocKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08693711825249632305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4257353453948537248.post-16408229850605184082008-06-28T10:46:00.000-07:002008-06-28T10:46:00.000-07:00NickThese colours are mostly speculative. IR3's colours are noted and are certainly not regulation, but Charles was known as a stickler for the book. So, if he allowed diversion in his own Regiment I think we can assume it was pretty widespread. That said I have tried to stick to red or blue coats and red or blue raupe as these are mentioned for some cavalry and infantry units. To me it adds a bit of colour without being too garish.

JohnJohn Chisholmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00408629017230619652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4257353453948537248.post-39239273133351103372008-06-23T00:11:00.000-07:002008-06-23T00:11:00.000-07:00Hello, John, I am interested in the splendidly col...Hello, John, I am interested in the splendidly coloured drummers in your IR55 and particularly IR22. After painting a lot of white coats myself, I rather fancy using these colour schemes, and was wondering if you have a source for this colour scheme, and in particular whether it relates to an individual regiment or several ? Best wishes, Nick Elsden.Nick Elsdenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09876019238948329183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4257353453948537248.post-79143257514013811522008-06-22T00:45:00.000-07:002008-06-22T00:45:00.000-07:00Very nice "eye candy", and a wonderful present for...Very nice "eye candy", and a wonderful present for the lad in question.

Such a gift, along with an apology and an honest explanation of what you felt as you put it so well here, will go a long way towards teaching him what maturity is, and I'm sure you will go up several notches in his eyes for dealing with him adult to adult. Great call on your part.

Have a good trip, and I look forward to your next post in July.Roberthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07889130893225462338noreply@blogger.com
